Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRS) is an arterivirus responsible for disease in swine worldwide. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome is an infectious viral disease of swine that is easily transmitted through direct contact to susceptible pigs and vertically to foetuses. It is characterized by reproductive failure in sows and respiratory distress in piglets and fattening pigs, which, combined with its potential for rapid spread, can cause significant production and economic losses.

VetPCR? PRRS Detection Kit is the direct detection of Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate, reliable technique.
