Pigeon circovirus PCR Detection Kit

Infections with pigeon circovirus (PiCV) occur in young racing pigeons and pigeons raised for meat production and have been reported worldwide. The disease characterized by non-specific clinical signs affects young pigeons up to 6 months of age. Clinical symptoms of secondary illnesses due to viral, bacterial, parasitic, or mycotic infections can be observed depending on the health status of the flock and the zoohygienic conditions of the farm. Infected pigeons may develop symptoms such as lethargy, anorexia, weight loss, reduced race performance, respiratory distress and diarrhea.

VetPCR? PiCV Detection Kit is the direct detection of Pigeon circovirus on de basis of a genetic data base, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate, reliable technique.
