Leptospira spp. PCR Detection Kit

Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease, caused by various strains of the Leptospira species, a flexible, spiral-shaped, Gram-negative spirochete. L. pomona is the most common serovar affecting pigs; less commonly L.tarassovi infection may occur. The signs seen are as follows: abortion, stillbirths or the birth of live, weak piglets; kidney lesions (white spots) in grower/finisher pigs; rarely fever, jaundice and death may occur in young piglets.

VetPCR? LEPTOSPIRA Detection Kit is the direct detection of Leptospira spp. on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate and reliable technique.
