Japanese encephalitisvirus RT-PCR Detection Kit

Japanese encephalitis, a mosquito-borne arboviral Flavivirus infection, is the leading cause of viral encephalitis in Asia. The disease usually is severe, resulting in a fatal outcome in 25% of cases and residual neuropsychiatric sequelae in 50% of cases. The Japanese encephalitis virus is transmitted by mosquitoes belonging to the Culex tritaeniorhynchus and Culex vishnui groups, which breed particularly in flooded rice fields. The virus circulates in ardeid birds (herons and egrets). Pigs are amplifying hosts, in that the virus reproduces in pigs and infects mosquitoes that take blood meals, but does not cause disease.

VetPCR? JEV Detection Kit is the direct detection of Japanese encephalitisvirus on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate, reliable technique.
