Histophilus somni PCR Detection Kit

Histophilus somni (formerly Haemophilus somnus) is a gram-negative, nonmotile, nonsporeforming, nonencapsulated, pleomorphic coccobacillus. Pathogenic and nonpathogenic strains have been differentiated. The virulence of the organism may vary by region andage group. This bacterium can cause an acute, often fatal, septicemic disease that can involve the respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or nervous systems, either singly or together. The reproductive system is often affected but usually without clinical signs and without other systemic involvement.

VetPCR? H.somni Detection Kit is the direct detection of Histophilus somni on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate and reliable technique.
