Meningococcal disease can refer to any illness that is caused by the type of bacteria called Neisseria meningitidis, also known as meningococcus. This usually means the lining of the brain and spinal cord have become infected with these bacteria. But these bacteria can also cause other severe illnesses, like bloodstream infections (bacteremia or septicemia). N. meningitidis are spread through the exchange of respiratory and throat secretions like spit. HumPCR? N. meningitidis Detection Kit is the direct detection of Neisseria meningitidis on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only speci?c gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate and reliable technique.
