Streptococcus iniae PCR Detection Kit

Streptococcus iniae is a Gram-positive bacterium and a severe aquaculture pathogen that can infect a wide range of farmed fish species. It causes meningoencephalitis in tilapia, yellowtail, rainbow trout, and coho salmon and has been associated with disease outbreaks in aquaculture farms, with mortality rates of up to 50%. S. iniae is also known to be an opportunistic pathogen that can cause fulminant soft tissue infection in humans, such as bacteremic cellulitis, septicarthritis, and endocarditis.

VetPCR? S.iniae Detection Kit is the direct detection of Streptococcus iniae on the basis of a genetic database, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate and reliable technique.
