Histomonas meleagridis PCR Detection Kit

Histomonas meleagridis, a flagellated protozoan parasite, is the causative agent of histomonosis in turkeys, chickens, and occasionally other galliform birds. In turkeys, most infections are fatal; in other birds, mortality is less common. The organs primarily affected by the parasite are the caeca and the liver. Signs are apparent 7-12 days after infection and include listlessness, drooping wings, unkempt feathers, and yellow droppings.

VetPCR? H. meleagridis Detection Kit is the direct detection of Histomonas meleagridis on de basis of a genetic data base, so it can diagnose very fast and accurately. It can amplify only specific gene using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method, and take only 3 hours for detection. Therefore, it is a very fast, accurate and reliable technique.
